Benefits of Natural Ingredients

ALMOND OIL: Obtained from pressing almonds and is high in moisturizing fatty acids. Excellent emollient high in oleic, linoleic and other fatty acids, ideal in the treatment of dry skin. Soothes and moisturizes and penetrates the skin easily.


ALOE VERA GEL: A concentration derived from one of the oldest medicinal plants known. It has remarkable healing properties that can draw and hold oxygen to the skin. It is known to soothe and protect the skin.



BAKING SODA: Also known as sodium bicarbonate. A mineral derived pH adjuster and viscosity stabilizer. An aid in cleansing oily skin.



BEESWAX: Made from flowers by honeybees to create their honeycomb. Used as an emulsifier, thickener, and formula stabilizer that protects the skin and prevents moisture loss. It is all-natural, with a delicate honey-sweet aroma.


CITRIC ACID: Found in plants and citrus fruits. This natural acid is a pH adjuster and acts as a natural preservative and anti-oxidant.



VIRGIN COCONUT OIL: Derived from the coconut fruit it is used as an emollient to smooth and lubricate the skin. Rich in saponins, it is excellent for soap making because it produces a rich, creamy lather.

COCONUT MILK: Coconut milk is a great natural remedy used to hydrate, moisturize, repair and heal the skin and the hair.


COCOA BUTTER: Cocoa butter is the natural fat extracted from the cacao bean. Also known as oil of theobroma, cocoa butter is slightly yellowish in color, and while it is extracted from chocolate, it has a bland taste and only a faint chocolate smell. The most desirable quality of cocoa butter is its stability as a fat containing natural antioxidants that also preserve it well. it is also a natural emollient making it ideal for lotions and lip balms. The moisturizing abilities of cocoa butter are frequently recommended for prevention of stretch marks in pregnant women, treatment of chapped skin and lips, a deep moisturizer for dry hair ends, and as a daily moisturizer to prevent dry, itchy skin. The fact that is a natural preservative and has a faintly pleasant aroma further lends benefits to its cosmetic uses.


CUCUMBER: An anti-inflammatory that helps reduce heat and inflammation. It is cooling, and cleansing, and has an extremely soothing effect on the skin. Also contains amino acids and minerals that help firm and regenerate.


GRAPE SEED OIL: Ultra fine oil pressed from grape seeds with especially non-allergenic properties. Moisturizing and nourishing due to its high linoleic acid content. May be a free-radical scavenger.


GREEN TEA: Potent anti-oxidant that offers 20 times the free radical scavenging effects of Vitamin E. It increases the effect of sunscreens and studies have found that it may help prevent skin cancer from UV rays as well. Green tea also helps reduce irritation caused by glycolic acid, and also has anti-cellulite properties.


HONEY: A natural skin softener used in formulation as an emollient, and humectant. Honey is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial, suggesting that it contains anti-microbial ingredients. It offers high levels of hydrogen peroxide. Peroxide stimulates white blood cells that initiate the body's immune response to infection. Honey contains other significant amounts of vitamins, including vitamin c and trace amounts of iron, copper, manganese, calcium, potassium, sodium, phosphorus and magnesium, all possibly adding to honey's wound healing effect.

HAZELNUT OIL: Slightly astringent, toning, fast absorption. Useful as base for oily, combination skins, acne. Tones and tightens skin, helps maintain firmness and elasticity. Helps to strengthen capillaries so might be useful against thread veins. encourages cell regeneration, stimulates circulation. Hazelnut oil penetrates the skin quickly, and nourishes the skin. It has a mildly astringent action and thus is a base oil of choice for oily skin or skin with acne. Studies in Chili have recently shown that Hazelnut Oil acts as a strong sun filter so it would be a valuable addition to a natural sunscreen.


JOJOBA OIL/ JOJOBA WAX: The "wax" is a semi-solid fraction of jojoba oil in the form of tiny, smooth "beads". Used in facial and body scrubs for their gentle polishing action, they slowly melt on the skin, releasing their moisturizing properties. The oil is expressed from the vanilla shaped beans found on shrubs in the arid deserts of southwest America. A plant oil most similar to skin's own sebum; it can effectively penetrate the skin because of its small molecular size.

LECITHIN: Present in all living cells, it is a waxy oil derived from soybeans and eggs that has great water binding abilities, and acts as an anti-oxidant, and emulsifier.




MACADAMIA NUT OIL: A very beneficial oil for dry, mature skins. It has a high palmitoleic oil content, which decreases in the skin as we age. This emollient oil penetrates easily and helps products glide on the skin.


OLIVE OIL: It's full of nutrients, vitamins, antioxidants, and natural compounds that benefit our bodies inside and out. Olive oil is rich in antioxidants including vitamins A and E, polyphenols, phytosterols and avenasterol. They work to neutralize free radicals and repair cell membranes. Also contains squalene and chlorophyll. Squalene helps to regulate sebum and chlorophyll is an anti-aging substance that promotes the healing of skin conditions and wounds.

PAPAYA /PAPAIN: This fruit is used in our formulations when it contains the highest content of "papain". It is an excellent free-radical scavenger and cellular renewal ingredient with the ability to digest protein (exfoliates), selecting only dead cells without harming the living ones.

ROSE WATER: Rose water is one of the most ancient and revered beauty treatments used today. It "enlivens" dry, mature and wrinkled complexions, and also to soothe sensitive skin at any age.



ROSEHIPS: The fruit of the rose bush, high in Vitamin C, soothing, moisturizing, and hydrating to the skin. May help protect against capillary damage and firm the tissues.





SESAME OIL: A light, emollient oil obtained from sesame seeds. Also known as gingilli oil, it has been used since earliest antiquity as a soothing, gentle emollient. It is an excellent substitute for olive oil and offers exceptional staying power in massage preparations.


SUGAR: Rich in "natural" glycolic acids, it has cellular renewal properties. Raw sugar cane is particularly rich in mucilage, thus bringing its softening and moisturizing activity at the skin level.



SUNFLOWER OIL: Obtained from the seeds of the sunflower. Rich in vitamin E, it aids healing, and has a high linoleic acid and fatty acid content, which allows for better absorption into the lipid layer of the skin.



VITAMIN E/TOCOPHEROL: An anti-oxidant and cellular renewal ingredient that when combined with vitamins A and C acts as a preservative in the oil phase of cosmetic formulations.


RICE FLOUR: Rice flour is a highly absorbent natural skincare ingredient derived from ground rice. Added to natural skincare products to absorb moisture and oils. May also aid with wrinkles and pigmentation.


FENUGREEK: A herbal remedy for beauty problems like wrinkles, dryness, blackheads, rashes and pimples.



TOMATO: Packed with complexion nourishing antioxidants (such as Lycopene and Caretenoids), potassium, magnesium and vitamins A & C, this lucious friut also contains natural acids that slough off dead cells, shrink pores and tones skin.


YOGURT: Yogurt when applied topically has been proved to cure acne and skin rashes and gives a healthful glow by reducing dark circles and closing pores. It is also beneficial for hair and cures itchy scalp and dandruff. The lactic acid and probiotics in yogurt add gentle cleansing and nourishing benefits to skin.


WATERMELON: Watermelon juice protects the skin from the sun. It also clears the skin leaving it free from blemishes, fresh and lovely. The fiber content in watermelon ensures toxins are scrubbed out of your system leaving your skin healthy and glowing.




ACTIVATED CHARCOAL: It has been used externally to effectively absorb wound secretions, bacteria, and toxins.



CANDLENUTS: Also known as ‘buah keras’ or ‘kemiri’. Used in both traditional healing and beauty practices, the candlenut contains deep moisturizing properties and can be used in scrubs, especially for dry to normal skin types.



CYCLOMETHICONE: Skin conditioning agent, emollient, detangler, adds shine to hair. Confers an incredibly soft, silky feel to the skin, evaporates quickly leaving little residue on the skin.

KAFFIR LIME (limau purut): Well known for its medicinal properties, not only by the Malays in the old days but also by modern scientific researchers. Besides its usage in adding flavor to traditional Malay dishes and cuisines, like the rendang, and tomyam, it is sometimes used as herbal medicine to treat normal skin disorders. It is not actually used for treatment of chronic skin disorders like psoriasis or eczema, but only for ordinary skin irritations that normally require basic general medications. It is also used in herbal medicines and traditional treatments, as the fruit and especially its leaves, have those special properties to encourage the growth of skin.

BETEL LEAF (daun sirih): Used extensively in herbal medicine. It's naturally antiseptic qualities make it good in healing skin wounds, inflammation, boils, pimples and acne.




VANILLA (beans and oil): In old medicinal literature, vanilla is described as an aphrodisiac and a remedy for fevers. These purported uses have never been scientifically proven, but it has been shown that vanilla does increase levels of catecholamines (including epinephrine, more commonly known as adrenaline), and as such can also be considered mildly addictive.


SOAP NUT: Soap nut is the commonly used name for the dried fruit of Sapindus tree which is a genus of about 5 -12 species of small trees and shrubs which are native to India and Nepal. Soap nuts have the ability to treat skin conditions like erasing fine lines, reducing freckles and healing cracks in the skin. Soap nuts have also been used to effectively treat eczema and psoriasis for hundreds of years in India and Nepal and have been used in Europe in the past few decades with very encouraging results. The major advantage of using soap nuts is that they are hypoallergenic and safe for people who are allergic to even the mildest of cleansers that are available in the market. In a large number of cases, even the products that are labeled for sensitive skin or hypoallergenic or allergy free can cause a problem in people suffering from eczema and psoriasis. Two of the many great benefits of soap nuts are their anti-fungal and antibacterial properties.

HIMALAYAN SALT: Unrefined, unprocessed, sodium chloride plus all of the other 82 natural occurring mineral elements held within the crystalline structure of the salt in its original form; holistic, wholesome, unaltered, and natural, the crystallized remains of an ancient, primal ocean that evaporated over 250,000,000 years ago. WHEAT GERM VIRGIN OIL: Wheatgerm oil (triticum sativum) is made from the "germ" of the wheat - the heart of it. The grain consists of three parts - the husk, the germ and the endosperm - and it is the germ that is used in the manufacture of the oil. Although the germ only constitutes 3% of the weight of a wheat grain, it contains nearly 25% of the protein, vitamins and minerals. The oil is very high in vitamin E and essential fatty acids and because of its high vitamin E content, which is a natural antioxidant which helps to prevent rancidity, it is often added to other carrier oils to help lengthen their shelf life and to prevent them going off. When it is applied topically on to the skin it helps promote the formation of new cells, improve circulation, and to help repair sun damage to the skin. It is also used to help relieve the symptoms of dermatitis.

MINT LEAVES: The usage of mint is usually considered as a herb for cooking, but mint being a herbal plant is widely used in Ayurveda for curing various skin problems. Facts provide that mint has anti-inflammatory properties and it not only protects the skin from physiological damages but hydrates and rejuvenates the skin.


VEGETABLE GLYCERIN: A humectant (water-attracting/binding ingredient), emulsifier, and emollient naturally produced from a combination of vegetable fat and water. TURMERIC: Turmeric is an edible herb that has been used to treat skin conditions by the Chinese and Indian for thousands of years. The turmeric powder is made from the root of the Curcuma longa plant. The root looks similar to ginger and has a peppery-bitter flavor with a hint of citrus. Because of its antitumoral, antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties, turmeric is popular for treating: hemorrhage, bruises, toothache, chest pain, menstrual and stomach problems, Rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory diseases. Turmeric is also well known for treating skin conditions, such as acne, rashes, scars and burns.

KAOLIN CLAY: It is the mildest of all clays and is suitable to add to products created for people with sensitive skin. Arrowroot is also the name of the edible starch from the rhizomes (rootstock) of West Indian arrowroot. In skin care products, titanium dioxide is mainly used as a natural colourant and thickener.
